Spellcraft & Spells. Spells are a combination of words and actions that will bring about a magical act. Spellcraft is the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform spells, knowing what is appropriate, when, where, how, and what will work in each circumstance. Some consider spells to be similar to prayers, but with more belief in the outcome, and the use of our own will rather than a request for someone else to do it for us.

So what are spells, and why do they work.?

Spells are a special type of wish or prayer, using the combined 'energies' from many people, sources, entities or some other. They are targeted, focused, and presented with confidence and have a defined purpose.

Many other religions know the effect of this, many churches ask large numbers of people to pray together, people involved in voodoo know the effect of what their beliefs can do, as to many aboriginal and other peoples, from many cultures.

You will know of people going on pilgrimages to healing places connected with various religions or people who have used prayer to overcome or help overcome medical conditions and have favorable outcomes to a variety of situations.

Scientifically a force can be proven to exist, although by this method the measurable effects are small. The simplest involves a frame made up of a shute unto which balls are dropped between a piece of wood and plastic front. Into the wood backboard nails are added that cause the balls to bounce about and further down nails to hold balls in columns. if you get it configured right when you drop the balls in you get what is known as a normal distribution, this has high columns in the center with columns dropping off towards the outside. Having tested the configuration to make sure you reliably get a standard distribution, you then bring in few people and they concentrate on wishing all the balls to move one way, and the effect is that the distribution moves slightly to the left of right as the balls are dropped. The first time the movement is small, but once the people see that they were able to make a change, the difference they can make is slightly greater. This has been done many times by physiology departments and others and if it interests you I am sure you will be able to find information on it.

The experiment above involved ordinary people not witches, what witches do is to call up more power by a variety of means and focus it.

Spells and time

TV and films tend to give the impression that spells work immediately, but few do. If you look at ancient healing remedies most involved doing something and then some action over night or for a day or a period. A good example is many traditions associated with healing wells where a spell or prayer was said by a well, and a strip of material from the clothing of an effected person hung by the well. As the cloth rotted away, the person recovered. Clearly this could take weeks or months.

Different types of spells take different amounts of time to work, some of the fastest being those involving smell, for example the smell of freshly cut bread will in most cases make you feel hungry and certain hormone type essences will effect the way you are attracted to another person and what you want to do with that person. Similarly the way you behave, the way you hold yourself, project confidence and the other signals that the person picks up subconsciously are all spells or magic, if under your control, and getting the reaction you want.

A spell that is transferred via water can be amongst the most powerful, but if it has to be delivered via the atmosphere as water vapor or via water flow around the planet this can take a considerable time.

A straight prayer type of spell with no element or other aid will take from a couple of days to several months to work.

The timing of spells is therefore very important, and while many may not feel a prayer or spell worked, it may have done but perhaps in a different way than you realized, or took longer. Sometimes loosing the focus or just giving up and forgetting about it, will cause the effect to be dissipated. 

Power from within you

You will know that within you and me there are electrical signals, ECG machines that check your heart condition, EEG machines that check activity in areas of the brain can draw waveforms using some of this energy.

Some people can project or pass some of their energy through the palms of their hands and use it for faith or spiritual healing. You can also focus this energy and use it in spells, either by the way you use your hands and mind together or by focusing it through an implement such as a magic wand, sword, dagger or other ceremonial implement. If you are interested, then later you can find out about the difference between conductors, metal items and the like and insulators, such as certain types of wood and how combining the two can amplify the effect you get. When we look at how ceremonial practices help you to increase the effect and channel it.

Two experiments for you now

Firstly put your hands together so that it looks as if you are to say a prayer. Now keeping all the other fingers together pull back either your index fingers (the one you point with) or your thumbs and then try to hold them very close together, so they are a few fair widths apart, without them touching. You will find a force keeps pulling them together.

Experiment two involves the palms of your hands, cup them and hold them together as if you had caught a butterfly. Close your eyes and think about the feeling the palms, you should find that they get warm. If you don't feel the effect in your hands, then after a few minutes open your hands and put hour palms against your cheeks.

Later, with practice you will find you can use the palms of the hands also as receivers scanning them over all types of surfaces, from earth works and stones, to people with medical problems. Once you become sensitive and are able to read them, you will find as you walk along, up stairs, near wood, or stone buildings you just naturally read them in the same way as you currently naturally use your eyes.
