We believe as we have said in many other sections, that you and I have the absolutely right to speak directly to the superior power. As a witch you will be a priest, and as such you will speak for yourself and for others, you will ask, thank and on occasions question. You will not need any interpreter or other person to tell you what the superior power is saying to you.
Now lets take this is stages,
Some don't believe there is any form of god, or if there is that it would not be able or interested in them. However when saying so they are reticent unless their is some payback. Many of course catch religion when they have a problem or are reaching the later parts of their life expectancy, perhaps its a little like insurance, you may not be able to use it but it gives you some piece of mind. No one can prove to you that the superior power exists, you have to decide yourself to talk to it, and most importantly listen or look for a reply.
So how do you talk to a superior power, not with a shopping list of requests, but as you would a very wise magician able to grant you any wish, if she felt that it was in your and other peoples best interest. We suggest you start by finding somewhere quiet, clearing your mind as much as possible, and just thinking, not saying what you want to say. Perhaps you start with a series of thank you's for each of the things that has happened recently, for you and those you care for, and importantly for the other little miracles that you are able to see coming together. Now sometimes you move on to the request stage, the suggestions that perhaps certain course of action might be considered. At this stage it is all very one way, it is not until you have mastered trances later and know more about ritual that you will immediately get replies.
So lets move on to replies, no you don't usually hear a great big thundering voice, or a clap of thunder, neither do you get an email, or text massage from the superior power, what the superior power does is to talk directly to your subconscious. So you will get a reply that you at this point will feel as an emotion, or possibly a sensation. Of course these are not always easy to spot or to interpret and often to begin with you will need to ask for help with understanding, not from us, but from the superior power. Later with practice and more experience of heightened powers, and in particular being able to communicate through your subconscious you will be able to get more direct replies, even so, often you will not completely understand them at the time. Of course by this point, you don't need as much help, you are more able to move magic to help yourself and others.
The other way that you will get a reply is of course by actions. yours, others or chance. You will see things that you have asked for or suggested, happening. You will see more and more proof of what is happening and that you are actively involved, but only of course if you look.
You will see this is all very safe stuff, no need to run about outdoors in the nude (unless you want to) or scream, shout or blow anything up, no daggers, swords or in fact anything at all, just you in a quiet place. You can do all we suggest to start without a single person becoming aware, and in fact their is very little difference from enlightened Christians view of prayer, or many other religions, so you cannot upset anyone.
When you have moved further you will be able to reach a point where most times things just happen right for you, opportunities just open up, situations happen, and your communication with the spirit is deeper and ritualistic or planned sessions are rarely needed.
We don't see the superior power as giving us orders, commands..... but advice that we can choose to take or not, ask clarification on or decide to act on at a later point. On occasions the advice may go against rules men or society has set, laws, customs, and other irrelevances to the superior power. sometimes this will mean we are unable to follow the advice we get, at other times we will have too many activities or tasks in hand to action ideas put to us and have to make decisions as to what is right for us at this time.
So, why you may ask, if its all so simple do we have all this ritual stuff, swords, wands, daggers, water and so much more. Its not to speak to the superior power, we can do that with a little meditation whenever we like.
Witchcraft is proactive, we make things happen, not just beg or request, but instructing things to occur.
