Spirit

The fifth element is referred to as spirit, and is what is created or is the cone of power. In some ways it is connected with water and magnetism.

Druids although a cast of society, means pool of knowledge, and they saw rain as the manifestation of the goddess. Therefore water was the female element and wood (Oak) was the male element representing the tree of knowledge. hey viewed water as not only the most powerful element but very connected with the spirit.

Witches also rate water as the senior element and connect spirit with earth and other forms of magnetism, created by combining elements or by a coven in ritual.

It is sometimes said that the spirit, which is god, is everywhere, but is not very concentrated, while within a circle, or coven, or by the skill of a knowledgeable witch  or some other means it can be concentrated, allowing manifestations to be called forth, healing and other effects, and the help of god obtained to do our work.

In some ways other churches, often built over earlier pagan sites, and having the same structure, achieve to a degree the same effect although not understanding fully what they are doing or being able to use the power they can generate. Often the font (water is in the west, and a central space of power exists and has a cone shaped spire over it.

Faith healing likewise uses power from the hands of the healer, concentrating spirit.

So what is spirit, and can we detect it.

We can indirectly detect it as it has an effect on magnetic background readings, but is not magnetisms as we understand it as the healing effects obtained are far more powerful, although similar to that achieved with magnetism, but you need many hundreds or thousands of times as much magnetism as the effect detected to cause the same effects.

Some photographs taken by respected photographers not connected with witchcraft have found that the cone of power has shown up in their photographs when photographing a coven is full session. It shows up as a blue lighting effect with stronger streams coming from the head of each of the people involved.

Water than has spirit projected into it has some changed properties that can be detected.

So at this time we have no means of directly detecting or measuring the spirit, but are indirectly able to show that it exists.

It would appear to be a form of vibrational energy that is similar to light and magnetism, and possibly similar to static electricity. It can be concentrated and our ancestors were able to keep or store the build up.

The energy is effected like the tides and therefore strongest on the night  2 days after a full moon, and this is when we do all our most powerful magic as well as most rituals, where witches are directly introduced to the spirit.

An enormous amount of research continues into this area, including common memory, the role of the moon and planets in concentrating this energy, and far more.

I am limited here in what I am able to tell you, as most of the knowledge (detail) surrounding working with spirit is secret.

Water witches have the ability to concentrate, build up, use and to a degree store this energy, and we believe have the best understanding of this element and its use.

We believe in the spirit, that the spirit is god, that there is only one god although it is intelligent and can be presented to us by many faces, therefore there is not ultimately any difference between all religions. We believe we each have the right to discuss things with and get advice from god and to choose which advice we wish to take. That we can ask for help and that working fully with the spirit we can use some of this within our magic as well as subconsciously in our normal lives to make much more happen, which gives the impression to others that we are very lucky individuals and things just work our for us in so many ways.
